WHAT IS THE GOODGIVING GUIDE CHALLENGE?
The GoodGiving Guide Challenge – a partnership of Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing – is an online charitable giving campaign, celebrating the diversity of the nonprofits in the Bluegrass Region and allowing people to learn and contribute to their work. 107,000 copies of the GoodGiving Guide are inserted into Smiley Pete Publishing’s Chevy Chaser Magazine, Southsider Magazine and Business Lexington and into the Herald Leader, as a catalog of participating local nonprofits. Donors can select one, two or multiple organizations and make a donation using a credit card or a Blue Grass Community Foundation Giving Card or Donor Advised Giving Fund at the secure website www.goodgivingguide.net. Individual donations to nonprofits will have an even greater impact during the Challenge, thanks to hundreds of thousands of dollars in challenges, match pools and grant money provided by sponsors.
ONCE I HAVE GIVEN, CAN I GET A REFUND?
No, all donations are final and may not be refunded.
WHO HANDLES THE MONEY FROM THE DONATIONS?
The fund is overseen by the Blue Grass Community Foundation. The Blue Grass Community Foundation will disperse the donations to the individual nonprofit organizations at the close of the fundraising campaign.
